Women's Ministry

The vision for our Women's Ministry at First Pres Maumee is to help connect, support, and disciple women. We do this through the developing significant relationships and deepening those relationships with one another. We strive to promote Christ-centered discipleship, spiritual encouragement, and growth, and feel a need to meet the needs of one another in all seasons of life, both within our community and around the world.

Our Women's Ministry forms connections in many ways. Keep reading to see some of the opportunities available within our Women's Ministry!

Women's discipleship training

There are discipleship training groups that currently meet. These groups use the series A Woman's Journey of Discipleship from NavPress. It’s a process, through which women learn how to walk daily with the Lord, and pass on to others that same discipling vision Jesus gave His disciples. Women are asked to commit to the first 6-week book when beginning this study, which includes weekly meetings, scripture study, scripture memorization, and encouragement in your walk with Christ. For more information, or to join the next session, contact Stacey Tolbert ( ).

being in the word of god every day

If you are looking for a way to deepen your relationship with Christ by spending time in the Word everyday and connecting with other women through this process, consider a First Pres She Reads Truth group. These groups use the daily reading plans from She Reads Truth to guide us in becoming a woman in the Word of God every day. These Scripture reading plans range from two to six-week sessions, depending on the study, and include a weekly podcast. First Pres Women then gather to discuss the readings – what they have learned, questions they may have, and how God is speaking to them through the Scriptures. Resources are free through shereadstruth.com.  For more information, or to join a group, contact Kristen Woodard ( ).

WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY

There are two opportunities to dig into our weekly Scripture passage that guides our Sunday worship. The Wednesday morning Women’s Bible Study and the Thursday evening 5F Women’s Group both continue the discussion from Sunday’s sermon. You can just show up and join either of these groups - no RSVP required!

  • Women’s Bible Study - Wednesday mornings at 10:30, hybrid format (in-person and Zoom), led by Margo Leininger and Sherry Stiles, contact Margo Leininger ( ) for more information.
  • Women’s 5F Bible Study - Thursday evenings at 6:00, in-person in the Fellowship Hall, led by Pastor Jason, contact Annette Blair ( ) for more information.
