Legacy Giving

How might someone honor a friendship that has spanned more than sixty years? In our church, David Saunders along with Ken & Ann Jane Hileman have shown us one way.

Pastor Clint Tolbert introduces a new legacy fund established to support the ongoing maintenance of the sanctuary organ, among other legacy funds that have been created. Though the video was produced in the hope of encouraging greater support for these funds, it expresses something more important than any instrument, building, or ministry. It expresses, with gratitude, the indescribable privilege of the life we have all been invited to share together as the church family.

What value can one assign to friendship? How can we repay someone who has walked with us through the highs and lows of life? Though their friendship expanded into multiple contexts, the Saunders and Hilemans recognized the fundamental place the church played in their relationship, and therefore, they sought to honor that friendship by working to secure the legacy of the church for years to come.

Who are the people within our church family, who have walked in relationship with you over the years? Consider contributing to one of our legacy funds as you reflect with gratitude on the life we share. There is no value we can place on friendship, nor can we repay a true friend. We can, however, express thanks to Jesus, the One who has drawn us together as we work to secure the future ministry of His Church, so that others can experience the same blessings we have received!
