Magnify: Reflect. Celebrate. Strengthen
All Hands on Deck
Nehemiah chapter 3 tells the story of the residents of Jerusalem getting to work. Nearly everyone contributed to the project, doing practical deeds of building, restoring, and repairing the wall around the city. It was something that could not be done solely by an individual; it had to be done by a community.
When we consider the whole of this church’s labors—the generous outreach, the compassionate care, etc.— so many of you are stepping up and doing your part, humbly, diligently, sacrificially. It is a beautiful thing to see you putting the needs of the community above your individualism; you are working for the glory of God and the flourishing of the common good. Be encouraged as you continue to love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.

Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that celebration is important--it renews and strengthens us for continued service. Over the last four years our church has chosen to be transformed. As we learn about the story of Nehemiah, we will reflect on the work that God has done through the people of First Pres Maumee.
