God has given us all unique gifts, and God calls us to use these gifts for the sake of the Kingdom. The opportunities listed below may be a great way for you to bless others and serve our community.

Sunday Morning Teams

Tech Team-Helping us share God’s story within our church and beyond

  • Run the slides, run the sound board, and/or run the video 
  • A great opportunity for both youth and adults to serve
  • Training is provided for all areas - no experience needed

Team Leader: Bill Woodruff, Director of Technology & Security,

Prayer Team-Demonstrating our call to love God & love others through praying together

  • Pray for and with our church members before, during, or after the worship services
  • Training and guidance is available, but if you have a heart for others, you are ready

Team Leaders: Dick & Kit Curran, ,  

Ushers-Demonstrating servanthood for those in worship on Sunday mornings

  • Ensure worship leaders and congregation members are supported on Sunday mornings
  • Support the congregation with finding a seat or helping with mobility aid devices
  • Greet those attending as they enter the Narthex, hand out Orders of Worship (Traditional Service), and a few additional responsibilities

Fellowship Hosts-Preparing the table for a time of fellowship & food 

  • Arrange and set out donuts and other food, make coffee, prepare pitchers of water/juice
  • Put away and clean up food and coffee carafes

Team Leader: Teresa Pinkelman, Food and Fellowship ministry coordinator,   

Children’s Church & Nursery-Showing God’s love to the youngest in our congregation 

  • Glorify God by spending time with our children, caring and loving them in ways that are essential to their faith journey
  • 45-minute lessons or other options, lessons and supplies are provided

Team Leader: Jeanette Axford, Coordinator of Family Ministries,

Online Hosts-Creating personal connections with those worshiping on church online

  • Make connections and welcome all those who worship online (those who are homebound, those outside of our area, those worshiping from home)
  • Greet all attendees who participate in the public chat, comment and post moments throughout the service (weekly chat prompts with copy/paste option is provided)
  • Can be completed from home or from the church with a church-provided Chromebook

Communion Preparation-Preparing the elements for the Lord’s Supper

  • Prepare the elements for communion - fill cups with juice and  prepare the trays for communion service

Team Leader: Karla Lewis, Elder of Worship,

Liturgist/Reader-Helping us share the Word in worship

  • Leads congregation through some spoken words (corporate prayer, call to worship, etc.)
  • Read scripture, help draw connections throughout the different aspects of the service
  • Guidance, training, and prompts are provided
  • Responsibilities vary based on service

Music-Encouraging the congregation to come together in song 

  • There are multiple music ensembles and opportunities that work to enhance the worship experience on Sunday mornings

Welcome Team-Showing the love of Christ to all who enter through our doors

  • This team is staffed by our current Deacons but if you have a heart for greeting others, consider joining our Ushers

Wednesday Night Teams

Greeters-Showing the love of Christ to all who enter through our doors

  • Meeting church families and guests at the parking lot doors
  • Greeting people with joy and welcome
  • Helping direct people where to go for the meal, children’s activities, other

Prayer Team-Demonstrating our call to love God & love others through praying together

  • Pray for and with our church members during Wednesday night activities
  • Training and guidance is available, but if you have a heart for others, you are ready

Kitchen Set-up and Serving-Preparing the table for a time of fellowship & food 

  • Assist Kitchen coordinator and other leaders with food preparation
  • Set-up food and serving dishes, serve the meal as needed
  • 5:00-7:00 pm commitment

Kitchen Clean-up-Cleaning up Fellowship Hall after community meal

  • Put away and clean up food, serving dishes, and coffee carafes
  • Clean and disinfect tables

Children’s Wing Check-in -Ensuring the safety of our children entering and leaving children’s wing

  • Welcome families and assist them with check-in procedures
  • Enforce guidelines such as who may enter children’s wing and monitor children leaving with their families

Children’s Activity Leaders -Showing God’s love to the youngest in our congregation 

  • Glorify God by spending time with our children, caring and loving them in ways that are essential to their faith journey
  • Lead two 20 minute sessions of a craft, game, or other activity

Team Leader: Jeanette Axford, Coordinator of Family Ministries,

Junior High Team-Sharing your faith through building relationships with our teens

  • Opportunities to pray with and for 6-8th grade students 
  • Leading discussions and Bible Study
  • Leading  games and activities

Team Leader: Landon Rohrer, Student Ministries Leader  

Music-Modeling worship through music instruction and experiences

  • Assisting with leading motions and teaching songs
  • Shepherding children during music experiences

Photography-Capturing special moments through photography

  • Looking for photo opportunities to be shared on social media or in our newsletter
  • Using creativity with close-ups and telling stories through photographs. 
  • Possible videography
