Summer Camps

This summer, we are offering a Summer of Service which will provide 3 – 4 opportunities for our children and families, along with the church and local community members, to serve our local and mission partners. Children, students, friends, parents, and members of the church are invited! The goal being to teach our children the joy of service and engage our church and community in the process. We are aiming for Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons in June and July with a final cookout in the park  to celebrate the work we will do this summer and enjoy fellowship. First Pres Maumee hosts an annual Mini Music Camp for First Pres children & friends who have an interest in making music with others! Children entering grades 1 through 6 have the opportunity to spend four days making music in a variety of ways – through singing, instrument playing, and rhythm activities – while also learning about God’s love through his Word. Children do not have to have any prior music experience to join in, just a desire to participate!

Lambec Music Camp offers an opportunity for campers (completed grades 3-12) to grow and explore the gift of music in choir, band, and orchestra. Each day includes rehearsals, Bible study, worship, group activities, and free time where campers can swim in Lake Erie, go boating on the pond, play a number of sports, or relax and hang out with friends. All campers will participate in the choir and those who bring an instrument may participate in the band and/or orchestra. A concert is presented Friday night at 7:00 PM, including the band, the orchestra and the choir.

Every other year we invite our Senior High students who have gone to camp at least one to consider going to Work Camp so they may grow in their faith formation. Work Camp is like a mission trip where students can work on the home of residents to be the hands and feet of Christ. However, it’s also like a camp since students will attend two high-energy worship services a day, make friends, and enjoy plenty of fun and games. It might be called Work Camp, but its not all work!

Our Senior High students are invited to attend Young Life Camp every summer. This summer, we are going to Lake Champion – A Young Life Camp in New York. Young Life Camp is open to all high school students (Grades 9-12), both members of the church and those connected to us through Young Life.

Our Junior High students are invited to attend Wyld Life Camp every summer. This summer, we are going to Lake Champion – A Young Life Camp in New York. Wyld Life Camp is open to all Jr. High school students (Grades 6-8), both members of the church and those connected to us through Wyld Life.
