Kristen Woodard

Kristen Woodard joined the staff of First Pres Maumee in 2011 and has served as Director of Worship & Music since 2019. In this role, she leads worship planning, directs choirs and ensembles, and equips worship teams. She is especially passionate about congregational singing and crafting intentional, Scripture-centered worship experiences that glorify God and inspire, teach, and connect worshipers.

In addition to her work at First Pres, Kristen is active in music ministry beyond the local church. She serves as a leader at retreats, conferences, and camps, including her long-standing involvement with Lambec Music Camp in Pennsylvania. She also partners with other churches and worship leaders to design gospel-centered services that are rooted in Scripture, encourage congregational singing, and thoughtfully utilize the musicians within each congregation.

Kristen has extensive experience working with musicians of all ages and maintains a private piano studio, mentoring young musicians in their growth. She holds a Master of Music Education from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Mount Union College. Kristen is married to Andy, whom she met and married at First Pres Maumee, and she finds great joy in using music to bring people together in meaningful and lasting ways.
